Kannan and Kinjal (late 20s), newly married (and a baby on the way), decide to move out of their small New York City apartment to be close to Kinjal’s Sister (Payal) in Metropark, New Jersey. Their lives take a drastic turn as they are introduced to these quirky suburban Indian characters: Kalpesh, (the brother-in-law) who runs an “American” convenience store called “Pay and Run” in the heart of India-town, New Jersey, along with Payal who balances her family life and her beauty salon career. The couple soon realizes that they must adapt to this new way of life where their neighbors are all Indian and there is nothing called privacy. The series follows these two couples at different points in their respective marriages while revealing how their unique environment shapes their actions.
